At this conference, ei3 will be introducing a new monitoring tool called MAVIN, an add-on package that brings real-time monitoring and altering to LightStay. MAVIN which stands for Monitor, Alert, and View Information takes an innovative Internet of Things approach to enable real-time monitoring and alerting of energy and water consumption. By using a powerful web standards-based API, MAVIN is able to accept data from Building Management Systems, Utility Companies, Smart meters or local equipment at the property. For properties that don’t have electronic metering, Ei3 provides a device called the MAVIN box that works with meter upgrade kits to take pulses from utility meters and send them to the MAVIN server in the cloud. Alerts are dispatched as emails and text messages. MAVIN data can be displayed through LightStay or on custom web pages using gadgets and the MAVIN display API.
