The all-new Amphion S14 allows advanced, real-time analytics at the edge and high-frequency data aggregation.

Deliver more value to your customers with this high-performing, secure, plug-and-play IoT edge device. The Amphion S14 is engineered to exceed the most demanding security requirements combining ease of configuration for remotely accessing your machines. Based on industry standard security protocols, the edge device creates a secure network from your machine to our cloud infrastructure which hosts the ei3 applications and data historian, or the data repository of your choice via our Enterprise Mirror. The latest model Amphion S14 also incorporates additional secure execution power for edge computing, such as on-device analytics and high-frequency data aggregation, making it the perfect secure platform for powerful fog computing.

 

The Amphion is built to be installed inside a machine control panel on the factory floor. It requires a standard Ethernet-based connection to the Internet to get connected. To the machine, the Amphion supports all of the legacy and modern field bus protocols and PLCs. The configuration and management infrastructure is secure and client-managed through our web infrastructure.

 

The Amphion creates an externally managed secure network that gives you highest level of security paired with ease of configuration and cost-effective full scalability: small sites or individual machines can connect with a single piece “black” box amphion, whereas larger installations or plants connect through individual routers and a single plant access point. Using this unique network design ei3 supports scalability from one machine to many hundreds with full security while only requiring the user to configure, manage, and audit a single outgoing data connection.

Amphion S14

Securely encrypts and consolidates all data generated on your site before it is transmitted to the ei3 data center via the Internet. Works in conjunction with up to 128 red boxes to provide a highly scalable, plant-wide IIoT installations.

Red Box

Amphion S14

Isolates each machine from other machines and everything else on your network. Interrogates your machines’ controllers for status and data and can execute edge based filtering and analytics. Data is relayed to the green box while encrypted, or in plain text on your shop network, to allow you to monitor all data that is collected.

Black Box

Amphion S14

Acts as a singular gateway between one machine network and the ei3 data center. Suitable for low-cost installations for an individual machine.
